Dining & Catering
We are pleased you are considering University of Utah Dining Services to provide your conference meal needs. To insure the most rewarding experience for you and your group we have outlined some helpful guidelines.
-
All conference participants are strongly encouraged to be on a Conference Meal Plan through Dining Services. Our Conference Meal Plan is created to provide value, menu variety, and scheduling flexibility. All Conference Meal Plans are served “all-you-care-to-eat” at the Chase N. Peterson Heritage Center & Kahlert Village.
-
Conference Meal Plan participants must provide identification at each meal period. We will provide your group with color coded wristbands, unless your conference has a unique identification badge.
-
Retail dining outlets are available for groups who wish to have participants pay for cash meals on their own. However, retail outlets have limited hours and service, which may not meet your participants total daily dining needs.
-
Standard Conference Plans have been developed based on group size. Conference Meal Plan menus are designed to follow healthy guidelines, as well as, to ensure a quality product, taste and presentation.
A contract will be developed outlining your group’s rate, service dates & times, special needs and payment terms. Your final participant count guarantee is due by the end of your check-in day. Final charges will be based upon the guaranteed number received or the actual number of participants served, whichever is greater. Please contact Shannon Shultz at (801) 581-7700 or shannon.shultz@food.utah.edu if you need further assistance in answering questions or to arrange your conference dining needs.
